Martin Wörner's vines have been in the family for three generations, adapting throughout each decade. In the 1980s, Martin's father shifted to fruit wine production as the popularity of German wines decreased overall thanks to an over-saturated market and various scandals. After studying viticulture and interning at multiple wineries, Martin restarted winemaking at the family estate. Today, alongside his partner Alanna, Marto cultivates numerous indigenous varietals across 3 hectares of sandstone-rich terroir in Flonheim. Crazy Crazy 2024 is a blend of native varietals Scheurebe, Kerner, Riesling and Müller Thurgau from limestone-loess plots. Grapes undergo a short maceration on the skins. This is the first vintage to be disgorged, presenting an elegant structure and clearer pet-nat than previous bottles. A lively nose of cardamon, Rubicon-mango and peach are complemented by an equally juicy flavour profile. Crazy Crazy 2024 would pair well with a sunny terrace and poke with taro chips.
